Articles submitted to Jurnal Elementary are reviewed and selected by the editorial team based on their alignment with the journal's research scope, adherence to the prescribed template, and compliance with the Jurnal Elementary submission guidelines. Manuscripts that meet the requirements will be returned to the authors for revision. Once revised, the articles will then be sent to reviewers.
Presentation
Does the manuscript present a cohesive argument? Are the ideas articulated clearly?
Title
Does the title accurately characterize the manuscript? Is it concise and easy to follow? Regarding length: Which sections of the paper should be expanded, removed, condensed, summarized, or combined? Is the title concise, free of redundant or implied terms, and—where possible—does it state the primary results or conclusions presented in the manuscript? Abbreviations should be avoided in the title.
Abstract
Does the abstract include: 1) the research objective; 2) the methodology; 3) the results or findings; and 4) the conclusion? Introduction: Does it clearly outline the research background, the current state of the field (including relevant literature to justify the manuscript's novelty), a gap analysis, a clear statement of novelty, the research hypothesis or problem statement (optional), and the approach taken to address the problem? Methodology: Is it described clearly enough for other researchers to replicate the study and achieve similar results? It should go beyond defining terms to explain how the research was conducted, including descriptions of the setting, participants, research instruments, and data analysis.
Results and Discussion
The data presented should be processed (not raw data) and organized into tables or figures, accompanied by supporting descriptions that make them easy to follow. The results must relate back to the initial research questions or objectives outlined in the Introduction. Authors should discuss whether their findings are consistent with existing literature or if there are discrepancies. Furthermore, authors must provide a scientific interpretation for each result or finding presented and explain the implications of the research. The author explains the limitations of the study or the shortcomings of the methodology or perspective. The author also outlines the need for further research or areas where the ideas could be expanded.
Conclusion
This section should address the research objectives and include implications or recommendations (optional). It must be written in paragraph form, not using bullet points or numbered lists. The outcome of the review will be one of the following decisions: Accept Submission, Revisions Required, Resubmit for Review, Resubmit Elsewhere, or Reject Submission.
