Akademika is Journal of Islamic Studies published by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, Institut Agama Islam Negeri Metro. Akademika is published as an attempt to socialize scientific studies related to the results of Islamic research. Akademika has been accredited by The Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, The Republic of Indonesia (Decree No. 152/E/KPT/2023). The platform system used is  OJS (Open Journal System).

Akademika specializes in studying Islam from all aspects of the Muslim world, with special references to studying Islam in Southeast Asia. The editors also welcome works dealing with comparative studies of Southeast Asian Muslims with those outside the region.

Previously located online at <http://stainmetro.ac.id/e-journal/index.php/akademika> from September 2016 to February 2017, Akademika changed its official website into <http://e-journal.metrouniv.ac.id/index.php/akademika> following the conversion of institutional status from college (STAIN) to institute (IAIN) in 2017.

Akademika: Jurnal Pemikiran Islam received fifty manuscripts for consideration in this issue. We engaged Reviewers and collaborated with Editors from various countries. After a rigorous review and selection process, we accepted ten articles. The total number of authors in this edition is thirty from four countries (Saudi Arabia, Australia, Indonesia, and Malaysia).
