This article presents eco-theology thought of Ranggawarsita, the poet of Surakarta Javanese keraton (palace). This article based on the study of Zaman Edan texts. These texts is translation work from some poetry text, include Serat Kalatidha, Serat Sabda Jati, Serat Sabdatama, Serat Jaka Lodhang, dan Serat Wedharage, which translated and edited by Ahmad Norma in the book of Zaman Edan. This study gives a contribution for eco-theology discourse from local cultural thinker. Eco-theology thought of Ranggawarsita, which interpreted from Zaman Edan texts, can be included in the view of “human kinship with all creatures” or which may be called deep ecology. In this view, environmental sustainability and disasters will always be associated with the relationship between man as servant and caliph with God as the Creator and the universe. The concept of eco- theology’s Ranggawarsita combine the values of Javanese local wisdom with Islamic teachings. It is possible with socio-cultural context, ie, Ranggawarsita as a santri as well as Javanese priyayi.
