Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for evaluating submitted manuscripts based on their academic merit, originality, relevance, methodological quality, and contribution to knowledge. Editorial decisions are made independently and objectively without discrimination based on authors’ race, gender, nationality, religion, institutional affiliation, or political beliefs.

Editors must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, avoid conflicts of interest, and ensure a fair, transparent, and timely peer-review process. Editors are responsible for addressing ethical concerns that arise during the publication process and may issue corrections, retractions, or other appropriate editorial notices when necessary to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers contribute to editorial decisions by providing objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of submitted manuscripts. Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and must not use unpublished information for personal benefit.

Reviewers should provide relevant comments regarding the quality, originality, methodology, and academic contribution of manuscripts. They should notify the editor of any suspected plagiarism, duplicate publication, ethical concerns, or significant similarities with previously published works. Reviewers must decline review assignments when conflicts of interest may affect their objectivity.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must submit original manuscripts that have not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to other journals. Authors are responsible for ensuring that all data presented in their manuscripts are accurate, reliable, and reported honestly.

Authors must properly acknowledge the contributions and sources of ideas, data, figures, tables, images, and other materials from previous works. Authors are responsible for obtaining ethical approval and informed consent when required for research involving human participants or animals. If significant errors are identified after publication, authors must promptly notify the editorial office and cooperate in correcting or retracting the article when necessary.

Research Integrity

Tapis : Jurnal Penelitian Ilmiah does not tolerate plagiarism, self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, data falsification, citation manipulation, image manipulation, or any other form of academic misconduct. All submitted manuscripts may undergo plagiarism screening using recognized plagiarism detection tools as part of the editorial evaluation process.

Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial intelligence (AI)-assisted tools may be used to support language improvement, readability enhancement, or other limited aspects of manuscript preparation. AI tools cannot be listed as authors and cannot assume responsibility for the content of manuscripts.

Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and scientific validity of their work. Any use of AI tools that materially contributes to manuscript preparation should be transparently disclosed by the authors.

Conflicts of Interest

Editors, reviewers, and authors must disclose any financial, professional, institutional, or personal relationships that may influence or appear to influence the publication process. Individuals with conflicts of interest must withdraw from relevant editorial or review decisions.
