Corrections and Retractions

Tapis : Jurnal Penelitian Ilmiah is committed to preserving the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of the scholarly record. When errors, ethical concerns, or research misconduct are identified after publication, the journal will conduct a careful evaluation and take appropriate editorial actions to ensure the reliability and credibility of published articles.

Corrections

Corrections may be issued when a published article contains errors that do not affect the validity of the research findings but require clarification, amendment, or correction. Corrections may include changes related to author information, institutional affiliations, factual inaccuracies, or other issues that require formal clarification.

A correction notice will be published and permanently linked to the original article. The original article will remain available to maintain transparency and preserve the continuity of the scholarly record.

Retractions

A retraction may be issued when there is clear evidence that the findings or conclusions of an article are unreliable due to research misconduct, including but not limited to data fabrication, data falsification, plagiarism, duplicate publication, unethical research practices, or significant errors that invalidate the results.

Retracted articles will remain accessible as part of the scholarly record but will be clearly marked as retracted. A retraction notice will explain the reason for the decision and provide relevant information regarding the retraction process.

Expression of Concern

The editorial team may publish an Expression of Concern when there are reasonable indications of potential ethical issues or research misconduct, but the available evidence is insufficient to reach a final decision. An Expression of Concern may also be issued while further investigation or clarification is being conducted.

The notice will remain associated with the published article until the matter has been resolved.

Article Removal

Article removal will only be considered in exceptional circumstances, such as legal requirements, court decisions, or situations where continued public access to the article may create serious risks to legal compliance or public safety.

In cases of article removal, the journal will maintain the article’s bibliographic information and publish a notice explaining the reason for the removal.

Editorial Responsibility

All decisions regarding corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, and article removal are made by the editorial team based on careful assessment of the available evidence, ethical considerations, and the need to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the scholarly record.
