History of the Founding of Syakhshiyyah: Journal of Islamic Family Law

Syakhshiyyah: Journal of Islamic Family Law was established with the aim of becoming an academic platform focused on the study and development of Islamic family law in Indonesia. Until Volume 5 (2025), Syakhshiyyah: Jurnal Hukum Keluarga Islam published approximately 8 articles per issue, with an acceptance rate of around 95%. Starting from Volume 6, Issue 1 (2026), the journal increased its publication capacity to 15 articles per issue while implementing a substantially more selective editorial policy, resulting in an acceptance rate of approximately 40%. This increase in the number of published articles reflects the journal's steady growth in manuscript submissions, the expansion of its editorial and reviewer capacity, and its commitment to providing broader opportunities for disseminating high-quality research in the field of Islamic Family Law. At the same time, the lower acceptance rate demonstrates the journal's strengthened quality assurance process, with greater emphasis on originality, methodological rigor, scholarly contribution, and compliance with the journal's publication standards. These developments are intended to enhance the journal's academic impact and maintain its reputation as a credible, high-quality scholarly publication.
