PUBLICATION ETHICS

This statement describes the ethical behavior of all parties involved in publishing articles in our journal, including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher (Faculty of Sharia). This statement is based on the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) policy.

Syakhshiyyah Journal of Islamic Family Law is committed to maintaining high ethical standards in scientific publishing by reviewers, authors, journal editors, and publishers.

Responsibilities of the Editor
1. The editor of Syakhshiyyah Journal of Islamic Family Law is responsible for deciding which articles are eligible for publication. The editor is guided by the policies of the editorial board of the Academic Journal of Islamic Law. Editors are also limited by applicable laws regarding defamation, copyright infringement, and plagiarism.
2. While reviewing Syakhshiyyah Journal of Islamic Family Law and making decisions on publishing articles, the editorial team adheres to not distinguishing the position, race, gender, religion, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, and political ideology of the author.
3. The editor and editorial team do not divulge information about manuscripts or articles other than to authors, reviewers, other advisors who are members of the editorial board, or publishers.
4. Unpublished manuscripts will not be allowed to be used by research editors without written permission from the authors. Any information obtained from reviewers will not be used for the editor's benefit.
5. Editors should be fair and free from consideration of commercial bias when making decisions in accordance with the peer-review process.

Reviewer Responsibilities
Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions on submitted text or articles
1. Reviewers should consider each submitted manuscript to be a confidential document, and should not discuss it with others except with the permission of the editor.
2. Reviewers are fully responsible for the review recommendations to be reviewed.
3. The review of the manuscript is carried out objectively and supported by clear arguments.
4. Reviewers are also responsible for citations, references, and plagiarism for the reviewed article.
5. Reviewers are committed and strive to improve the quality of the review process and results.
6. Reviewers can provide a special time for review activities
7. Reviewers maintain the confidentiality of information regarding the review process and the information is not for personal use.

Author Responsibilities
1. Authors must provide articles resulting from thoughts or research in a clear, systematic, structured, honest, and free from plagiarism or data manipulation.
2. The author is responsible for any confirmation caused by the article he/she writes.
3. The author must follow the rules for the publication of scientific papers, namely the originality of the work, free of plagiarism, and has never been published in journals or in other publications.
4. The author must include references to the opinions or works of others quoted.
5. Authors must write manuscripts or articles ethically, honestly and responsibly, in accordance with the applicable scientific writing rules.
6. Authors are prohibited from submitting or publishing the same article to more than one journal or publication media. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal or publication media is an unethical act in the publication of scientific papers and is not justified.
7. Authors are responsible for checking their own manuscripts for major errors and informing the editor immediately. The author then works with the editor to retract or correct the manuscript.

Publisher's Responsibility
1. Syakhshiyyah Journal of Islamic Family Law is a periodical published by the Faculty of Sharia of IAIN Metro as a scientific journal publisher responsible for publishing articles that have gone through the editing, peer review, and layout stages in accordance with the applicable Scientific Journal publishing rules.
2. Syakhshiyyah Islamic Family Law Journal is responsible for ensuring academic freedom for editors and reviewers in carrying out their duties in accordance with their respective fields.
3. Syakhshiyyah Jurnal Hukum Keluarga Islam is responsible for maintaining privacy and protecting intellectual property, copyright, and editorial freedom.
