About the Journal

MilRev: Metro Islamic Law Review Is a scientific law journal with a focus on studies in the field of Contemporary Islamic law and actualize and add to the treasure of a better understanding of Contemporary Islamic law through the publication of articles and research reports. MilRev: Metro Islamic Law Review encompasses a broad range of research topics in Islamic law: Contemporary Islamic Criminal Law, Contemporary Islamic Family Law, Contemporary Islamic Politics, Contemporary Islamic Judicial, Contemporary Islamic Jurisprudence and Contemporary Islamic Economic Law.

MilRev: Metro Islamic Law Review is a double-blind peer-reviewed journal published by Faculty of Sharia, Institut Agama Islam Negeri Metro, Indonesia. The journal is aimed at spreading the research results conducted by researchers, academicians, and practitioners in the field of Contemporary Islamic Law. The articles of this journal are published bi-annually; Januari-Juli and Agustus-Desember.

This journal enthusiastically welcomes submissions from scholars in related fields. However, in publishing, recency, and timeliness matter first. We are pleased to announce that MilRev: Metro Islamic Law Review has been ACCEPTED into the database of reputable indexers. If the submitted manuscript does not comply with the guidelines or uses a different format, it will be rejected before review by the editorial staff. The editor will only accept manuscripts that comply with the format specifications.

All submissions must be made through the MilRev: Metro Islamic Law Review OJS system. The author needs to contact the editor via email at milrev@metrouniv.ac.id to get a login username and password. The Editor makes no LoA. LoA is issued solely in the form of an accepted paper notification.

MILRev: Metro Islamic Law Review provides scientific manuscripts of research results in the field of Contemporary Islamic Law.  This issue has been available online since 04th April 2024. All articles in this issue (6 original research articles) were authored/co-authored by 20 authors from 16 affiliations and 10 countries (Tunisia, Egypt, Marocco, Germany, India, Indonesia, Hungary, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina).
