Focus and Scope

In early of 2019, Postgraduate of IAIN Metro launched International Journal of Islamic Economics, henceforth IJIE,  as a venue to publish academic research papers in area of Islamic economics and business.  IJIE accepts manuscripts whose topics are in range of economic fields and employs standard economics analysis tools focusing on issues pertaining to Islamic economics or related issues in Islamic Business/Management/Accountings, as well as Islamic microfinance. The topics might be an observation of current economic phenomena that highlights the problem of conventional economic system.

IJIE aims to tie researchers to share high quality publication. It is expected that students and researchers to play important role in making the case for Islamic economic system.

It is a blind review journal in order to ensure a fair and critical assessment of the incoming manuscripts.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published twice a year (June and December).

Open Access Policy

This journal applies open access policy to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. We continue to work with our community of writers to choose the best choice of licensing options: Creative-free Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 

Publication Charge

There is no processing and publishing charges to corresponding author for publishing in IJIE. Nevertheless, there is a penalty in manuscript withdrawal (please refer to our sidebar policy). All of processing and publishing fee will be waived by Postgraduate IAIN Metro. We encourage authors to promote our Journal to their colleague.


The primary target of International Journal of Islamic Economics are researchers and practitioners.


Opinions expressed in articles and creative pieces published in IJIE are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of the editorial board or the publisher.
