About the Journal

International Journal of Islamic Economics is a nascent scientific journal, launched in early 2019 by the Postgraduate of Institut Agama Islam Negeri Metro Lampung. As a scientific journal, the International Journal of Islamic Economics aims to disseminate research findings from academia and practitioners through its publications.
International Journal of Islamic Economics accepts manuscripts whose topics are in the range of economic fields and employs standard economics analysis tools focusing on issues pertaining to Philosophy of Islamic Economics, Islamic Economic Thought, Islamic Economics and Contemporary Issues, Halal Studies, Islamic Finance, Islamic Banking, and Islamic philanthropy (zakat, waqf, sadaqah, and infaq). The topics might be observations of current economic phenomena that highlight the problems of the conventional economic system.
International Journal of Islamic Economics is a peer-reviewed journal that ensures a fair and critical assessment of the incoming manuscripts. It is expected that more researchers would join the International Journal of Islamic Economics as authors, reviewers, and editorial members to ensure a rigorous publication process, so that the published papers would play a distinct role in making the case for the Islamic economic system.
International Journal of Islamic Economics is published twice a year, in July and December. 

Publication Charge

International Journal of Islamic Economics imposes no processing and publishing charges on the corresponding author for publication. All processing and publishing fees will be waived by the Postgraduate of Institut Agama Islam Negeri Metro Lampung. We encourage authors to promote our Journal to their colleagues.
Nevertheless, manuscript withdrawal is discouraged, as the author is potentially barred from publishing in the International Journal of Islamic Economics for a certain period.
