ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATION PATTERNS IN THE MANAGEMENT OF CHILDREN'S EDUCATION PROGRAMS AT THE SENYUM ANAK NUSANTARA COMMUNITY IN BANDAR LAMPUNG

Abstract

Organizational communication plays a crucial role in ensuring the effectiveness of children's educational programs in volunteer-based communities, particularly in facilitating information exchange and coordination among members. This study examines the role of organizational communication patterns in managing children's educational programs at the Senyum Anak Nusantara Community in Bandar Lampung. The novelty of this study lies in revealing how the integration of structured face-to-face communication and digital communication supports program management within a volunteer-based community.

This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with informants purposively selected from the core management team, division heads, and deputy division heads. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and subsequently analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings indicate that organizational communication supports program effectiveness through information exchange, internal coordination, task distribution, decision-making, and feedback provision. However, delayed responses, differences in task understanding, and unequal member participation remain communication barriers.

This study concludes that effective program management depends not only on communication channels but also on active participation, interaction, and commitment among community members.
