PERSEPSI KARYAWAN TERHADAP PENGEMBANGAN KARIR DI KUSUMA SAHID PRINCE HOTEL

Perkembangan karier merupakan aspek penting dalam menjaga motivasi, loyalitas, dan kinerja karyawan. Dalam lingkungan kerja perhotelan, persepsi karyawan terhadap peluang pengembangan karier dapat memengaruhi tingkat kepuasan dan komitmen terhadap organisasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi karyawan terhadap pengembangan karier di Kusuma Sahid Prince Hotel. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam, observasi non-partisipan, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar karyawan memiliki persepsi positif terhadap program pengembangan karier, seperti pelatihan dan promosi jabatan. Lima dari tujuh responden mengalami kemajuan karier yang signifikan, meskipun masih ditemukan hambatan struktural, seperti tidak adanya jenjang karier pada bagian tertentu, serta hambatan psikologis berupa rasa takut dan tekanan sosial pada posisi yang lebih tinggi. Persepsi positif berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan motivasi dan kepuasan kerja, sedangkan persepsi negatif dapat menghambat keterlibatan karyawan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya dukungan atasan dan pengelolaan hambatan struktural serta psikologis dalam pengembangan karier karyawan secara berkelanjutan.
