Abstract

The mother's role as Madrasatul ūlā is very important to be implemented in order to support the success of a child's education, especially in early childhood moral education. In this modern era, mothers not only play the role of a housewife, quite a few mothers have a dual role, namely as a housewife and a career woman. Mothers who have dual roles must try to manage their time and balance their roles in terms of work and family life. This research aims to determine the role of mothers as Madrasatul Ūlā in moral education in the family. This research is a qualitative research. This type of research is field research or qualitative research. The subjects of this research were mothers who worked outside the home and had children in early aged. The research location is RW 5, Purwoasri Village, Metro Utara. The results of this research show that mothers have carried out their role as Madrasatul ūlā in educating their children's morals at an early age. This role can be seen from the educational process carried out in various ways by mothers in educating children's morals at an early age, namely, educating morals towards Allah SWT, morals towards Rasulullah SAW, parents, themselves and society
