Focus and Scope
SETARA: Jurnal Studi Gender dan Anak aims to promote scientific publication concern on Gender, Islam, and Social Inclusion, including children’s right protections in its broadest sense covering textual, historical and empirical aspects, both classical/medieval, modern and contemporary periods in the Islamic World and beyond. The journal strives to include significant studies of gender theory and methodology as well as topical matter.
This journal encompasses original research articles based on library and/or empirical research and current book reviews in the field of gender and Islam especially on, but not limited to, eight main topics: (1) Gender and Religious Texts (2) Gender and Islamic Law (3) Gender and educations (4) Gender and politics (5) Gender and Economic (6) Gender and Digital humanities, (7) Gender and social inclusion and (8) Children’s right protection
It encourages articles that employ a multi-disciplinary approach to those topics. Scholars from any countries and region that are concerned with gender and social inclusion and its manifestation throughout Muslim community can submit their article to SETARA and use this open access journal.
