Abstract

Number sense merupakan salah satu kemampuan fundamental siswa yang harus dapat dukungan disepanjang pendidikan mereka. Berdasarkan hasil kajian pustaka, ditemukan berbagai kendala untuk mengembangkan number sense. Hal tersebut diyakini dapat diatasi dengan melakukan inovasi dalam pembelajaran, salah satunya bidang teknologi. Hadirnya tantangan baru dalam pembelajaran matematika saat ini, yakni pandemi Covid-19, menjadi salah satu pemicu berkembangnya keterlibatan teknologi dalam situasi belajar mengajar. Saat inipun, cukup banyak penelitian yang mengungkapkan keberhasilan penggunaan teknologi dalam mengatasi permasalahan pembelajaran yang ada, salah satunya permasalahan number sense. Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk menjabarkan hasil telaah secara teoritis tentang ragam keterlibatan teknologi yang ditujukan untuk mengembangkan number sense siswa. Studi ini merupakah penelitian dengan metode kualitatif menggunakan pendekatan studi pustaka yang melibatkan berbagai literatur mulai dari buku, artikel penelitian, serta berbagai dokumen resmi lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan teknologi dalam mengatasi number sense dapat dilihat dari berbagai aspek, dua diantaranya adalah:(1) aktivitas-aktivitas pendukung number sense berbasis teknologi, dan (2) perkembangan teknologi pembelajaran dan media belajar berupa gim yang berkaitan dengan number sense. Meskipun demikian, para pendidik harus mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor kesiapan pembelajaran dalam kelas secara lebih khusus karena teknologi yang akan digunakan bisa saja menjadi hal yang memerlukan adaptasi lebih lanjut dalam pembelajaran di kelas.
