Model Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Nilai-Nilai Tradisi Pesantren

This research aims to discover character education model based on the values of boarding school Islamic tradition. This research is very important to do because nowadays appears phenomena that discriminate the Islamic boarding school (Pesantren), so the Islamic boarding school is a place in growing radicalism and exclusivism, and the Islamic boarding school not ready in facing digital era (kolot). That is contrary of the facts in the field were proven by researching directly at Riyadlatul Ulum Islamic boarding school in village of Bumiharjo 39 B Batanghari East Lampung. The method of research used is field research or field study by qualitative phenomenological approach. The tipe is case study by single case design. Data is collected by natural setting as live data source. Value of the research that the tradition values were practiced at Riyadlatul Ulum Islamic boarding school is responsibility value, the value of sincerity, hard work, and smart, value of love of cleanliness, religious, nationalist value, deliberation value and award value. But character education model that is developed at Riyadlatul Ulum Islamic boarding school consist of information supply (ma’lumat tsabiqoh) related to nobel character through book study, in one side to grow sensitivity and realize goodness trough tradition were implemented for 6 years and to subserve for one year at least.
