Abstract

This study aims to analyze the forms and functions of iqtibās in the poetry of Labid Ibn Rabiah based on the study of Arabic rhetoric (balāghah). Iqtibās refers to the incorporation of Qur’anic or Prophetic expressions into literary texts without explicit attribution. This research employs a qualitative approach through library research and content analysis of selected poetic verses. The findings reveal eleven phrases identified as iqtibās, classified into three types: lafẓī (verbal), ma‘nawī (semantic), and muḥawwal (modified). These forms function to reinforce meaning, intensify spiritual nuance, and create a sacred atmosphere within the poetic structure. The study concludes that iqtibās serves not merely as a stylistic feature, but also as an aesthetic and theological device that constructs depth of meaning and expressive strength in classical Arabic poetry.

تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تحليل أشكال ووظائف الاقتباس في شعر في ضوء علم البلاغة العربية. ويُقصد Labid Ibn Rabiah بالاقتباس تضمين ألفاظ من القرآن الكريم أو الحديث النبوي في النص الأدبي دون التصريح بمصدرها. اعتمدت الدراسة المنهج النوعي بأسلوب البحث المكتبي وتحليل المحتوى للأبيات الشعرية المختارة. وأظهرت النتائج وجود إحدى عشرة عبارة تعد من صور الاقتباس، صنفت إلى ثلاثة أنواع الاقتباس اللفظي، والمعنوي، والمحول. وتؤدي هذه الأنواع دورًا في تعزيز المعنى، وتكثيف البعد الروحي، وإضفاء طابع قدسي على البناء الشعري. وتخلص الدراسة إلى أن الاقتباس لا يعد مجرد عنصر أسلوبي، بل يمثل أداة جمالية ولاهوتية تسهم في بناء عمق الدلالة وقوة التعبير في الشعر العربي الكلاسيكي
